கேலாங் பூங்கா
இரண்டு சுற்றுக்கள் ஓடலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்து ஓட ஆரம்பித்தேன். மலேசியா வாசுதேவன் "ஆசை நூறு வகை.." ஆரம்பித்திருந்தார். நான் இருபது நிமிடத்திற்குள் ஓடி முடிக்க நினைத்திருந்தேன். அதனால் ஆரம்பித்ததே சற்று வேகமாக ஆரம்பித்தேன். முதல் சுற்று பத்து நிமிடத்திற்குள் ஓடி முடித்தேன். இரண்டாவது சுற்று தொடங்கியபோது "டிங் டாங் ..இரண்டும் ஒன்றோடு .." ஆரம்பித்தது. பாடலைப் பாடிக் கொண்டே ஓடினேன். டிராபிக் சிக்னலில் நின்றேன். அதன் பிறகு ஓட மனம் வரவில்லை. நடக்க ஆரம்பித்தேன். பழைய புத்தகக் கடையைப் பார்த்ததும் நின்று புத்தகங்களை புரட்டினேன்."Godel ,Escher ,Bach : An Eternal Golden Braid" புத்தகம் கையில் கிடைத்தது. பல வருடங்களுக்கு முன் சில பக்கங்கள் வாசித்திருக்கிறேன். அந்த புத்தகத்தை பேருந்தில் வைத்துவிட்டு இறங்கி விட்டேன். அதற்குப் பிறகு இன்றுதான் இந்த புத்தகத்தை தொடுகிறேன். வாசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தேன். கடைக்காரர் இரண்டு டாலர்கள் போதும் என்றார். நான் கொடுத்துவிட்டு புத்தகத்தைத் எடுத்து வந்தேன்.
