Gulliver's Travels

Rob Letterman's version of the Jonathan Swift's epic 'Gulliver's Travels' failed to impress me.As a fan of Jack Black i expected a laugh riot but this movie has nothing like that expect for 2 or 3 scenes .

The story :Writer Lemuel Gulliver was given an assignment in Bermuda to write about Bermuda triangle but because of storm he was thrown away and drifted to the island of Liliput. He was arrested and taken as prisoner by Liliputan's who were one twelfth the size of normal human being(less than 6 inches). He helped the Liliputan's defeat their enemies. The whole country loved Guilliver and he helped the Pricess in her love with Horatio. The Pricess was engaged to General Edward, who was very jealous of  Gulliver getting all the attention. So he devised a plan with enemies and invented a "Robo" like machine to defeat Gulliver.Edward did defeat Guilliver publicly. He was thrown out in the ocean,he was taken by 72 feet girl who keep him as a toy in her house.

The rest of the story is about how he regains the confidence and trust of Liliputans and how he propose to her girl friend, whom he loves for many years.Black as Gulliver tried his best but still this was not his best , he was far more better in "School of Rock".Jason segel as Horatio done his job perfectly, one of the best in this movie.Princess Mary played by Emily Blunt was also good.Music by Henry Jackman is not bad. Art designers have done a great job.The narration is  unconvincing and unfunny.
Over all, can watch one time.
